Diplomatic Ties and NATO Integration
Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Albania and the Republic of Croatia were established on August 25, 1992. Albania's relationship with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) began in 1992 when it joined the North Atlantic Cooperation Council.
Croatia's Support for Albania's EU Membership
Croatia, as a member of the European Union (EU), is committed to supporting Albania's aspirations for EU membership. Croatian Foreign Minister Gordan Grlić Radman emphasized that Croatia's knowledge and experience can be invaluable to Albania on its path to European integration.
Bilateral Cooperation
Beyond diplomatic relations and NATO cooperation, Croatia and Albania have established a strong bilateral partnership. The Republic of Albania recognized the Republic of Croatia on January 21, 1992.
